East Coast Wings and Grill was in high-gear on Sunday as they prepared thousands upon thousands of their National Award-Winning jumbo, buffalo style wings for the Big Game. Most stores offered carry out only because of the high volume that our loyal fans require for that special get-together. A special thanks to all of our team members that worked ’round the clock to get these orders prepared. Most importantly, thank you to our patrons who help make us #1!!

The Country Club team thanks Mark Close (father of Tyler Close) for participating in Big Game preparations this year. In loving memory of Tyler and his dedication to ECW&G!

Susan G. Komen Golf Tournament October 2011

East Coast Wings & Grill is honored to have provided food at the 3rd annual golf tournament benefiting the NC Triad Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure on October 8th, at Bryan Park Golf Course in Greensboro, NC. We were a hit with the 204 golfers, personnel and volunteers alike, offering roast beef and turkey wraps in a signature, pink tortilla wrap and of course our wings – in both traditional hot and bourbon flavors.

This event joining individuals and organizations supporting the fight against breast cancer raised a donation of $34,377.27. This money will be used to fund local programs supporting breast cancer screening, treatment, services, education, and national funding for research to a cure.

2011 Carolina Wing Festival Winner

East Coast Wings & Grill is thrilled to bring home more trophies! We certainly don’t base our success on these type of winnings, however, it is very reassuring to know that we’re not the only ones who think we’re NUMBER #1.
As you know, the first taste of victory came in 2010 when we received the honor of being the first place winner for our original Traditional Hot Sauce, and the second place for the Creative Spicy, Santa Fe Inferno. Thanks to the growth we have been experiencing, we were busy focusing on opening new stores and unable to return to Buffalo this year to defend our title. Fortunately, the organization decided to host the first annual “Carolina Wing Festival – Road to Buffalo” at the regional level allowing the winners of this event to compete in a final culminating event at the national level in Buffalo in 2012. Competing against more than 50 different wings and some of the areas best restaurants, it is with great pride that we announce that East Coast Wings & Grill brought home top honors winning 1st place in Traditional Hot, 1st place for Golden BBQ in a blind taste test judges by a panel of community members and celebrities. We also were designated as the “People’s Choice Award” winners. The criteria for this included a combination of weighted scores of on-line votes, voting by festival attendees and a blind taste test of their sauces judged by an assortment of people from local community.

There are currently no plans to compete in any upcoming events however, we know that there will be plenty of opportunities in 2012 so stay tuned!

Cary, NC – New Location

Bob Friedman opened up the 4,400 square foot Cary location on Wednesday August 10th. Mooresville – NEW LOCATION

On June 15th Jason Cole, his management and staff held a ribbon cutting event with the Mooresville South Iredell Chamber of Commerce in celebration of his new location. Make sure to check out our Mooresville location at 120 Marketplace Ave. Suite D. Mooresville 28115 in the Morrison Plantation Shopping Center. This location features a full bar with a large selection of crafted beers and patio dining.
